Comments: I'm probably the only truck driver who listens to The Loft. I found channel 50 I first subscribed in the summer of 2004. At home in Shreveport, La you have a choice of country, beer swelling classic rock or hiphop. Thank God for XM and The Loft. So thanks Mike and Franny and other Loft personalities, both past and present.

Comments: I agree with most of what was said below by other fans. I too listen to the Coffee House and the Bridge to get what I don't hear on the loft: core singer-songwriters like Shawn Colvin, Tracy Chapman, Carly Simon and James Taylor. In fact, The Loft once played most of these songsmiths, but it has been a very long time. I don't know what happened, because there is plenty of overlap with other artists across channels (e.g. Bruce Springsteen, Damien Rice, Van Morrison, Jackson Browne, etc.) Can you bring back some of these core singer-songwriters to the loft, and lighten the alternative country twang just a bit? It would be great to hear you dig deeply into the new Pete Yorn album, for instance, and less into Steve Earle, who gets plenty of air play currently. Why do I feel passionate about this? Because you know as well as I do that the Loft is programmed by someone who cares enough to share his personality with us, unlike the Bridge and the Coffee House, which are canned computer machinations. The Loft has better blending between songs, plays deeper cuts, and showcases a great variety of artists. If you make some of these minor tweaks, including an increase in artist separation (e.g. Steve Earle or Bob Dylan not playing every five hours), you'll be the #1 channel in the rock band on Sirius-XM. But you already are my #1.

Comments: Have always listened to the Loft most often - Mike Marrone is the best dj on radio - but lately sometimes the music is getting a little too divergent from what I have heard for years - not sure if I am happy where it is going. And what is with the Spectrum (the old Cafe)? They sound like some top 40 FM station - too many commercials about the Spectrum and cutting into the songs all the time - cheesy for satellite radio....by the way, have a lifetime subscription. Hey, what happened to Pete Fornatelle? Liked him alot!

That was the only show I know of that was about new music coming out. I've found so many new artists and titles just by listening, so please keep that show on. I still like the New Loft, but not as much as the old. Sometimes the New Loft gets a bit TOO eclectic for me. Keep up the good work Mike! I still LOVE the Wake Up Sets in the morning.

Comments: Have been a "Disorderly" for about 5 years, have 4 subscriptions to Sirius. Your doing fine but I do miss the 24-7 extreme variety that was heart and soul of the old Disorder. Megless ran, what I guess was, a once in a lifetime radio experience. It would be great to hear a little Count Basie and Miles along with the Stones during the morning wake-up showes. A little less of the smooth, singer/songwriter male voice at 6am would be great. That all said, you're still the Best Radio on Radio! Sincerely, Joe from N.W. Colorado, near Steamboat Springs

Comments: I'm a glass artist and I have depended on The Loft to get me through, inspire me, and introduce me to new music. You guys have never failed me. . .until now. The new show at noon, while playing some good stuff on occasion, is playing hiphop right now. The lack of that style of music was one that made me love The Loft and quite honestly, you got subscribers because people visiting my studio flipped over the great music. Several have mentioned that the midday lineup isn't what they signed up for and I have to agree. I just turned my system to the local NPR station for a while. The Loft is the *only* reason I have satellite radio. I so miss the what I loved about you. Please, indulge me?

Comments: I am signing your guestbook with mixed emotions. I was ecstatic that Shree is back on Sirius but disappointed in both the time slots and the fact that the Mansion of Fun is now only 3 hours instead of 6. Although to be honest, I was amazed that somebody as busy as David Johansen could do a weekly 6 hour show. Sirius Disorder was the best radio station/format ever and the Mansion of Fun was/is the best program. Fortunately I have a Stiletto 2 so I can record the program as 12-3am is when most people are sleeping, myself included. The Sunday replay is kind of lousy also as Sundays are spent running around or watching football. Give Shree a normal time slot. I am glad Meg is back on the air. I think you should give Ghosty a slot also. I am thankful that I am getting a little taste of Sirius Disorder back and I do like the Loft. I just wish I had both choices all the time.

Comments: These are some tough times on XM Radio for me! I am punching those station buttons more than I ever have....I'm just not satisfied with what I'm hearing. I've always been a heavy loft listener and it seems to me, the channel is surviving intact. I like the fact that Coffee House is right next door although there is an extremely irritating popping noise than is transmitted on that station. Someone should fix that. But I digress....Still love the Loft and the disorder show will be nice. It was the BEST channel on Sirius and I'm really sorry that the whole channel didn't survive. I could listen to it all day. Thanks Mike, Franny and Jerry for keeping the integrity of XM 50 intact. I only wish that XM hadn't trashed channel 12, X-Country. That was an unbelievable move on someone's part.

Comments: Mike, I have been nervous about the changes directly to you and on xmfan.com. I am not going to complain anymore. I am putting my faith and trust in your very able hands to make this work and keep The Loft as the best station on the planet.

Comments: First I was ecstatic. Now I am bummed. From what I have read about what is coming, it appears that more is less, for me. I do not want to hear more talking, interviewing...I don't really care about the lives of rock stars. I think the amount of talking Mike, Jerry and Franny do is just right. I left terrestrial when the sports jocks started talking politics. Please just let us have the great music that was the Loft. The Loft was already pretty perfect. While I think I understand what probably happened here (no choice but to take it), I am not able to understand how adding people, salaries and costs to the Loft helps Sirius, especially if the station is not going to be as good as it used to be. I hope to be surprised, but it seems the history of our collective lives is that all good radio stations disappear. Couldn't the Loft just be left alone?
Are you an XM subscriber? Yes, But I am not as excited as I was a couple of days ago.

Comments: After listening to all the changes in stations for the past week, I must say I'm very nervous. Most of what made XM desirable is going away. I was SO afraid that The Loft was going away as well. If that happened, I would also go away. The Loft has always been my favorite station on XM. You guys know how to do it! I hope they don't make you change the programming too much. Yours has always been the best. I've found so much new music on The Loft which I would have never even known about without listening. Try to keep up the good work. I see you have many new shows coming. I hope they don't take away too much of the personaity that is The Loft. I wish you guys luck. Hope things get better, but I'm nervous that they may not....and not just for The Loft, but for the new programming in general.

Comments: Change is not good nor is it healthy when something unbroken is "fixed". Bring back Disorder. Bring back Mansion of Fun in its original slot on Fridays. Bring back Ghosty. I am not happy with these changes. Paid subscribers deserve to get what they want and get what they need. The Loft is no replacement for Disorder. I subscribed to Sirius JUST for Mansion and Disorder and now I don't get to hear either. I am not up at midnight. I work. I may very well unsubscribe if Sirius XM doesn't listen to the ones who pay them. I almost bought a portable radio for the gym so I could listen to Disorder. That plan has been killed.

Comments: Wow. I've really gotten turned off by music over the years. Most of what's on these days is so vapid and manufactured. I'd gotten to the point where all I listened to was talk, news, and the comedy channel. Then, I found The Loft. All I can say is...unbelievable! I'm suddenly beginning to like music again! Please keep up the good work and survive the XM/Sirius purge. If I could ask for anything, it would be to lobby for a higher bit rate. A station like yours deserves it!

Comments: Greatly enjoy listening to all your shows throughout the day (when I'm able). Often it's as if I'm listening to my iPod. (And Apple should give you a commission since I've purchased many after hearing them on your shows). Absolutely love the diversity - both new and old; and since I'm somewhat older (56) greatly enjoy hearing the old classics that are hardly ever played these days such as: 8:05, Nazz version of Hello it's me, Kind woman, To a flame (?), etc. But I'm also relishing the new great songs. I should have reviewed your play list before making a couple of suggestions so forgive me if your playlist already includes them, but here goes, Circus Maximus - Wind, Clapton's version of: Somewhere Over the Rainbow. Thanks much! And I'm doing my best to spread the word about this great station. Steve

Comments: I loved the song Jackson Brown was talking about his band( the Dirt Band?) recorded after he left. It was written by greg copeland and ? and it had some verse about buying or giving you a headstone to lay your head. Anyway it is a great song I have never heard and would like to buy it. Can you help? I might have some of my details screwy, I was driving through a thunderstorm and having a hard time concentrating and follow the program. Thanks. Lauren
