Hello!! I ran across your blog while researching adoption from India. Thank you for sharing your story!! Adopting from India
seems like such a daunting, difficult journey but reading your blog has lifted my spirits! I LOVE Anant's video from India.

* give as many orphans as possible the chance for healthy development

to allow us to use your images in an upcoming fundraising video we are making. The short video will be shown online as well
at fundraising events. We are hoping to compile a variety of images in order to encourage people from all over the world
to donate to the cause. We would be happy to thank you as a contributor at the end of the piece.

Hi my husband and I are hoping to adopt from India and when I read under your timeline about meeting with a social worker
and being discouraged I knew I had to write. Can you give us any advice of how adoption can be done. We have our homestudy
and all the paper work done and our social services deparemtn is willing to send it but we do not know where to send it and
CARA will not email back. We are from Nova Scotia Canada and we do not have agengies but CARA approves the goverment departments.

I was laughing at your post today. You are so descriptive with your stories. I can just imagine the dog barking and lady in

I understand the whole putting your child down and letting them cry. I haven't ever been able to do that with any of my kiddo's
and the whole attachment thing makes me curious as well, wondering what the baby feels. Right now we are giving Macy a bottle

mary, i got to see anant very briefly in church yesterday, wasn't sure you were going to be there. he is just soooo adorable!
it was so hard to just keep my distance and not just grab him and hug him!!! i did rub his back but he just sort of looked

Oh, Mary and Rob, my heart goes out to you! It is SO hard, but as you can see already, there are small progresses so quickly.
It all sounds like it is going exactly as it should, and I'm glad he's eating, drinking and sleeping well for you.
Be prepared for a small nightmare on his first flight. Martand did ok--didn't cry, but it was hard to keep him contained
in such a small space and the flights are very full.

Oh Mary and Rob, I know this is really hard. It took 2 full weeks before Nandini would let me hold her. Our time in India
was full of pain and heartache - but just know that it gets better. People told me that (and I wanted to smack them!), but
it does get better with time. His grieving, as you know, means that he was very loved and shows that he can form deep attachments.
Just keep thinking... a month from now.. a month from now...

Dear Mary and Rob. My heart feels for you. I have adopted three children from india, two of them via BSSK, and they all grieved
very hard the first one-two days. And I know the ayahs really care for the children, so it's no wonder leaving BSSK is a hard
time for the children. Please, hold on, it will be better, I know from experience. Though it's hard for both parents that
the child only wants one of you, it's a good thing for him to bond to one person at the time. Btw, Anant is such an adorable
little guy with the most charming smile, reminds me of my own little boy at the same age (now he is 12, how time flies!).
