My daughter is currently attending medical school at U of G. and it is the perfect fit for her. We are hoping that with
the current need for bi-lingual doctors, she will be accepted as a resident doctor at Duke U hospital which is near us |

Things have changed in Guad. You would not recognise it now. It is now a city of close to 4 million. Everything across the
CU and leading to Tessistan, has been developed. there are "plazas" that rival or surpass any thing we have here in the U.S..
If you look closely however many of the old familiar places are still there. Those days were great, but it still is a wonderful
place to visit. I go there yearly as I married one of my companieras and I plan on retiring there. There are some great new
golf courses, especially El Palomar, which are truly world class. The weather is still as awsome as one remembers and the
cervecas still cold! I remember the scared feeling that I had as a 21 year old arriving at the airport and heading for my
interview without knowing anyone. Talk about cojones.
Those experiences I believe, make the typical UAG grad very succesful compared to our US counterparts.
Thanks John, for bringing back reat memories. |

Hi John:
Excellent job on the Guad Squad Reunion Homepage. It certainly brought all kinds of memories from those years in beautiful
Guadalajara and the UAG.
I graduated in 1975, did my internship in Costa Rica and then returned to Guadalajara to do my Social Service (Servicio Social)to
pay back for the opportunity given to me to reach a dream. Thanks to Mexico and the Autonoma (Facultad de Medicina) we had
the chance to make it and for that, I'm grateful. The experiences, friends, and everything is certainly unforgetable although
at times, we felt like quitting all together. Today, I'm sure that we are all better persons for that opportunity given to
us in that foreign country. VIVA MEXICO!! VIVA GUADALAJARA!! VIVA LAS CHIVAS!! Roy R. Reyes, M.D. Family Practice in
Pensacola, Florida. Generacion 1975. Muchas Gracias John. |
