Comments: Our church has been in vigil nearly four years. It's not the building so much as it is the community. I wish that the hierarchy of the church had realized that it's people, not the buildings, that make up our church, and given us a chance to maintain our parish communities when they decided to shut down our buildings, instead of casting us out in the street like a bunch of lost dogs.

Comments: The laity must become organized to bring about a reformation within the church. Church officials can no longer ignor 98% of the Catholic population in any parish. Get organized; study the sections of canon lay pertaining to the laity. Re-read the documents of Vatican II, i.e, Constitution on the Church and Church in the Modern World. The church, we are told, is not a democracy. The question then is, why doesn't the church become a democracy?

Our pastro was forced to retire last year, and we are now twinning with St. mary's Norwalk, Ohio with the pastor lliving there. This is our first time without a live in pastor. It is working out very well, we are two similar parishes and neither one of us want to have to face the possibly of being closed. Would love to come to the rally but have a wedding that day, but our prayers are with you and we hope Bishop Blair gets a message soon.

No "church" can close when the spirit exist within. The spirit exist in all who show their belief in Jesus Christ. Sadly, many, many have chosen to turn away and thus we have this purging which we brought on ourselves by allowing "them" to be our false leaders. Much Peace & Love!!!

Comments: St. James Parish is the best in the country. When I lived in Kansas from 1976-1983 I found it to be a deeply envangelist and caring place. There was always something 'special' going on. People cared for one another. I am heart broken that a place where people could meet Jesus is going to close. You are simply the best there is.
