Our church has been in vigil nearly four years. It's not the building so much as it is the community. I wish that the hierarchy
of the church had realized that it's people, not the buildings, that make up our church, and given us a chance to maintain
our parish communities when they decided to shut down our buildings, instead of casting us out in the street like a bunch
of lost dogs. |

The laity must become organized to bring about a reformation within the church. Church officials can no longer ignor 98%
of the Catholic population in any parish. Get organized; study the sections of canon lay pertaining to the laity. Re-read
the documents of Vatican II, i.e, Constitution on the Church and Church in the Modern World. The church, we are told, is not
a democracy. The question then is, why doesn't the church become a democracy? |

We have had a lot going on with our parish also.
Our pastro was forced to retire last year, and we are now twinning with St. mary's Norwalk, Ohio with the pastor lliving there.
This is our first time without a live in pastor.
It is working out very well, we are two similar parishes and neither one of us want to have to face the possibly of being
closed.
Would love to come to the rally but have a wedding that day, but our prayers are with you and we hope Bishop Blair gets a
message soon. |

I hope you are able to continue to show your Love of our Savior, Jesus, by speaking out and encouraging others to see what
really counts in life. No "church" can close when the spirit exist within. The spirit exist in all who show their belief

Sadly, many, many have chosen to turn away and thus we have this purging which we brought on ourselves by allowing "them"

Where 2 or 3 are gathered I am in their midst. These words, spoken by Jesus Christ should be enough for Bishop Blair to change
his mind. We, the parishners and members of these parishes build and maintain them. Keep praying, keep fighting, even if
it is too late for us we may be able to spare other people the pain that has been unjustly given to us. I hope to meet you
this thursday at the meeting.

People of all closing parishes---BE STRONG!! In reading the article and comments from our "pastor" in the Fremont paper the
community should now be aware of what we have to put up with on a daily basis. We have been true christians in our comments---it's
a good thing Jesus did not have the mind set of Fr Ted or there would not be a church today!!May God be with all of us in
these trying times---WE ARE CHRISTIANS lets keep it that way. |

Wishing our courageous brothers and sisters in Ohio Godspeed on their journey of faith. We have found that our suppression
was one of the worst things to ever happen to us and our vigil was one of the greatest blessings we could have received. The
Holy Spirit is working with and through you.... |

Words cannot express my grief. Closing a parish so rich in history and faith is a tragity to all of us in this catholic church

We are outraged by the Bishop's disregard for what's truly important in the Catholic Church - dedicated faith communities.
Our parish of St. Joseph, Salem Township is also scheduled for closure and we feel your pain. |

What is the reasoning behind closing a prosperous and self reliant church?
St. James is God's House too many loving and supportive families not to mention a landmark in the community. |

My brother and sister-in-law were married at this church and continue to be active members, along with their two daughters
and extended family. I live in NYC but I hear about St. James from them all the time.
It would fly in the face of what I believe is the true spirit of religion if this community of strong, willing and dedicated
worshippers were to have the doors of their church closed to them. |

I have watched His Last Days for the past three years. It is very obvious the love that each of the cast members have for
their Lord. They have learned that love from the church they attend. Ill be praying for all of you in hopes that you will
find a way to restart the life you have only known in that church. |

St. James Parish is the best in the country. When I lived in Kansas from 1976-1983 I found it to be a deeply envangelist
and caring place. There was always something 'special' going on. People cared for one another. I am heart broken that a
place where people could meet Jesus is going to close. You are simply the best there is. |
