I rarely meet anyone, in person or cyberspace, with I can discuss almost anything without fearing the need to preface and
explain all the possible tangents. The most cursory of glances at your topics and links relieves me of that dread. So here's
this: I worked as a correctional officer here in Virginia in 1978. I went there a rather typical young man (28) from the south
(think "bible belt), strongly believing in "god, country, and apple pie," or words I prefer to use these days, the "institutions
of men," politics, big business, and organized religion.
It took exactly eight months for all my delusions regarding these specious and lifeless entities to give way to the simple
but powerful reality that the only thing that matters in this life is people, how we treat each other in our daily lives.
And all ready you know enough about me to understand why I've had over fifty employers in my lifetime. "Authority" and authority
figures are fine. Try equating that with "superiority" and I become a mortal enemy.
Nothing but the absolute best to you and yes, I will indeed spend more time at your site. And for what it's worth, coming
from someone like me, good for you. You're a hell of a man. |

Great site! I took the archetype test and had a chuckle. I have Caroline Myss's book and many others on the subject. Was right
on. I especially liked that you told the reader the low scores were either suppressed or overdone types. Once again, right

Since I argue for the not to mind sick (a broad term) to practice a form of psychoanalytic self-therapy developed from Karen
Horney's 1940-ish "Self-Analysis" and Leopold Szondi's metaphoric view that normal is but a balanced mixture of the eight
psychiatric types.
As non-psychologist I only offer some advice as to what the minimum amount of theory one will need to in order to benefit
from his/her self-analysis.
The question I would like to propose to you is: What chance of success has a criminalized addict have in doing a boot strap
self-analyis for himself?
Do you encourage your patient's to do something similar when not under treatment?
Perhaps you would like to do a guest post on your developed approach and for example; just what the image of 'Trickster' played
in your particular case. Also what ever you believe would be estential to any one conducting a self-analysis.
