I'm a great-grandson of Isaac of Bobroisk, grandson of Fayleh (Charles) and son of Max (Menachem Mendel).
If it's a mystery as to why very young people are writing in and mentioning Zac it's because the Disney Channel has a starby
the name of Zac Efron, star of "High School Musical" and "High School Musical 2". he's goodlooking and very talented and
the pre-teens and teenage girls are wild about him. I know that because his father is named David Efron and enterprising
teenie-boppers have tracked me down and have called an emailed for more than a year now!

Took a quick look at the family tree. Just look at "my" small part and find it just not accurate. So I'll try to give the

Just came across this while looking for things related to Krynki where my mother was born although I knew about your work.
My mother, Esther (Kinzler)Duker and her siblings were brought to Poughkeepsie from Krynki by Samuel Effron and his wife Fanny
(Labensky) She was a sister of my mother's mother, Simah Labensky Kinzler. Simah died when my mom was an infant and her dad
died when she was 8. The Effrons brought her and her 3 siblings here in 1921 and my mother lived with them till 1933 when
she graduated from Vassar. |

You may remember me as the son of Frieda Efron DuBow who lived in Germany at the time you and I were corresponding about my
side of the Efron family. Through your good work, my long lost cousin Paul (efron originally) Egrie was able to get in touch
with me and today my sister Carol DuBow Cott, Paul and I got together for lunch. I had met Paul once before in the 1950's
but my sister had never met him. Carol, who all the pictures that had been in my late mother's apartment when she passed away,
found one of Paul's natural father, Ben Efron. Paul had never seen such a picture before and, we all agreed that Paul and
Ben looked exactly alike. So, we are much in your debt.
I have misplaced all the information you sent me about our family (Meyer and Anne Efron). I wonder whether you could re-send
it to me so I can share it with my sister who has renewed interest in this part of our family.

it was explained to me years ago how Nora and Edith Ephron (writers) and Marshall Efron (actor) were related to me but its
a haze now! i remember a few others were at or sent presents to me for my bar mitzvah in 1964 (names Kal & Morrie ring a bell)
and my mom's phone book has efron listing for washington (state) and i think there is or was in silver spring, md. had a
visit in 70s from a cousin, dara, who was from the west coast and that's all i remember at this point. maybe some cousins
i copied the home page to can fill in? |
