Comments: Yes it is September and UkeAPalooza is on. I hear the "Flea on the wall" need to loose weight and will dance the twist at the event this year, even to Hawaiian songs.

Comments: I found an old uke in our attic. It is a Maccaferri Islander. Can anyone tell me anything about it? My husbands uncle played with Frank Morelli and bradley Kincaid in Springfield, Ohio back in the 40's and 50's. Morelli and our uncle Phillip Rigazzi were Italian like Macceferri. My email is mjdennis11@woh.rr.com. Thanks for any info. MJ

Comments: to woody: nice cardboard uke! I build cardboard instruments myself, also using wooden toothpick frets and dulcimer-esque construction - but PLEASE describe your tuners to me! I've been searching for a good, reliable hardware solution for tuners! so far, I've used hose clamps and attempted using eye screws. thanks a lot for your time!! -travis- , uncrow@yahoo.com
