Comments: Hi! Thank you for this website. Our six month old daughter just had the same surgery done. Almost identical situation to your son. Since you've gone before us I'm wondering if Andy required any follow up procedures after his surgery. It's a little hard to tell from the photos (although he looks great) if there is a visible scar or not. Right now our daughter's surgery site looks raised and puffy. Of course this is probably to be expected as she only had her surgery one week ago! Did you do anything special to help the healing process? If you're available you can reach me at my email address. Thanks again!

Comments: Wow Andy looks great! My daughter was born with a cleft lip and palate. She is 16 now and peers are starting to make fun of her. We had a surgeon in the Columbus, Ohio area do her surgery so far. Although we are happy with what she looks like, just seeking to see if there is something better out there for her. Dr. Reinisch kept coming up in my search as well. Do you have any supporting comments to help me make the choice to go outside of our comfort zone. Thank you in advance for any help. Bless you all, Robin

Comments: Andy looks awesome. Our 18 month daughter has a Hemangioma in the same place. We could not decide if we wanted to wait a while or go ahead and have hers removed. After seeing how great Andy looks we have decided to pursue surgery. We have seen one plastic surgeon here in Houston and are waiting to see another. If we don't get the answer we would like we will be contacting Dr. Reinisch. I would love to chat with you about your experience.

Comments: Andy is precious! His post-op pictures are unbelievable. He looks amazing! My little 2 yr. old has an upper lip and lower lip hemangioma. We have been told by doctors to just let them regress on their own. However, we also don't want it to alter his personality and self-esteem. We are seeing a plastic surgeon next month to possibly remove it. Your story gives us much hope! Thanks so much!

Comments: Thank you so much for sharing Andy's story. It seems so similar to ours. Our grandson was 14 weeks premature and after 100 days in the NICU, he came home to deal with yet another issue. He has a very large soft spot hemangioma that can't be surgically removed until he is almost 2 due to the location over the fontanels. He is so precious, but most strangers only see "the bump". I hope that eventually he can look as whole and beautiful as your Andy. Very encouraging to other NICU survivors! We have very special miracles in our arms. God Bless

Comments: Hi there. You don't know me, but your grandma Miller is a dear friend of mine and I sang at your parents wedding. To be is a Christian is to feel compassion for people you have never met. I want you to know that you are in my heart and prayers always. I pray that God's hand will hold you in saftey through your surgery and all the days of your life. Your grandma tells me that you have a big heart full of love, just remember a heart is not judged by how much you love but rather by how much you are loved by others. Clearly you are very loved! God Bless and good luck to you and your parents! -Nick Horner

Comments: Oh how happy Jaku and I are that our little Andy will be having surgery; we dread having to think of him going through any pain, but we know that the outcome is worth it. Thank goodness Andy is too young to remember any of the pain. We also know that God is answering all our prayers -- and I mean all our -- cause he is prayed for by a lot of people, and is on a few prayer chains. Also, my hairdresser, (who has two priest brothers in Vietnam) has had them offering masses for Andy and they will both be having a mass for him on 18 April (their time is a day earlier than ours). So we know he is in good hands and we're so excited for the surgery to take place.
