Thanks for the special mention. You know that you are the bratty little sis I never had. I guess that means I have middle
child syndrome now. Actually, it is a rare treasure to find someone that you can truly be yourself around and say what you
need to say, knowing that the other person values you enough to let you. I know that we have had our philosophical differences

As an adoptive parent x2... here's my advice :) KEEP DOING WHAT YOU'RE DOING! Listen to your instincts and DO NOT for one
second let ANYONE tell you how your son should or shouldn't be acting/progressing/etc. I still get teary eyed when I compare
my one year old niece who has had NO trauma loss in her life, to my two. She is carefree and trusting, she's had NO reason
to grieve and she is joyful and sweet 100% of the time. I wish my twins could feel that "carefree." Sadly, they've had enough
trauma and loss in their young lives to always be "on guard" so to speak... and that requires my parenting to be different,
and it doesn't matter what ANYONE ELSE thinks! I'm doing what's best for my children and I KNOW that you're doing the same!
Keep up the great work! It will pay off!!!! |
