Please see TAG Volume 30 pages 7-10 for Donald Lines jacobus compelling argument that Anna or Hannah Tuttle who married John
Pantry & Thomas Welles was the daughter of Richard Tuttle. And that Ann or Anna Tuttle who married Joshua Judson and then
John Hurd is the daughter of William Tuttle. His use of probate and land records to make these arguments and to correct his
own earlier mistakes. |

In my pdeigree I have Mary Gillett, who is Cornelius Gillett's twin sister, she married Peter Brown. Peter Brown and Mary
Gillett had a son named Peter Brown who married Mary Barber. Mary Barber married Benjamin Trumbull. All of this is in my pedigree.
I am doing some research because I have it in my papers that the daughter of this union is Sarah Trumbull, Mayflower descendent.
I can't connect it to any of the Mayflower passengers however, so it may just be a mistaken identity, which as you know is
very easy with all the repeat names of this era.
If you have anything you can add to this, I'd appreciate hearing from you.

I think that you will find that the first wife of Bydog (Beget) Eggleston was Mary Talcott ( born abt 1590- died before 1630)
daughter of :
John Talcott ( 4 Oct 1562-29 Jan 1604) and Anne Skinner ( abt 1556-6 April1637)
I am a descendant of Mary's brother John Talcott. I really found the information you have on the family of Robert Page very
useful. My husband is a descendant of his.

Faye passed away in 2006 in Phoenix. Her husband, Vaden, passed away in 1998 also in Phoenix. They moved from Red Cloud,

I can trace my EGGLESTON ancestors back to Settrington, East Yorkshire, England, I have James Eggleston b.1713. The family
moved after that date to County Durham. My link with BYGOD is that I suspect that my ancestors either James or John were
half-brothers to Bygod. They had the same father, Jacobus, but were the offspring of his second marriage to Julianna Frear.
Unfortunately during the unrest at that time many of the records were destroyed so it is proving almost impossible to prove.
I live quite near to Settrington in north Yorkshire. I got very excited when I discovered the vast numbers of Americans have
signed the visitors book in the church.
I have enjoyed reading your article, most of which is not news to me as i have seen most of it before, its very well presented.

Very interesting info on the Tuttles. I've been researching the Tootill name which I quite sure has a connection with the

I'm a descendent of Samuel, son of the original William. I hadn't looked up family history for a while & found your site.
I had not heard about the Cockney name for Margaret.Some believe that William married an Indian woman, but I never thought
so. Interesting to read your site. Thanks.
If memory serves, Samuel was on the tax roles in 1630 -- middle class -- meaning a horse, a family & two oxen. Upper class
was a horse, a family & four oxen. |

Hello
I have traced my ancestry to include
John Hurd b. 1585 Eng. d. 1649. He is my Grandfather x 11 and his son Adam Hurd b. 1606 d. 1671 he is my Grandfather x 10.
I can follow the Hurd line down to 1845 to my Great Great Grandmother , Charity Hurd. I would love to exchange info and ask

(X9) grandfather. I have visited the Hurd House in Woodbury, and John's gravesite in Stratford. I agree with you that there

I am currently engaged in my family's history. I am trying to find as musch info. on the gillett history. I lived in Burrell
Boom Village, Belize District, Central America. In the early 1800's english settlers came to belize to work on the logwood
and mahogany trades. Belize was the former colony of England, once known as british honduras. There are many people here with
the last name of gillett.Much more later.... |
